Dr. Neeta Kohli-Dang

Dr. Neeta Kohli-Dang completed her undergraduate and medical training at the University of Toronto from where she graduated with honors. She completed her residency in Otolaryngology at the University of Toronto, including the world famous Hospital for Sick Children, which provided extensive pediatric training. She is board-certified in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. She is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Dr. Neeta Kohli-Dang has had a successful and busy practice for several years with vast experience in the treatment of ear, nose and throat disorders, both pediatric and adult. She is particularly interested in treating conditions such as ear infections, dizziness, nasal obstruction, sinusitis, nasal drainage, thyroid nodules, hoarseness, and difficulty swallowing. She uses the latest techniques including computer-guided surgery, radiofrequency ablation, RhinAer, VivAer, Eustachian tube dilation, and Balloon Sinuplasty.

Dr. Neeta Kohli-Dang has been selected as a guest speaker for the North Alabama Nurse Practitioner Association Symposium on a regular basis. She also lectures to nurse practitioner students at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.

She has been Chief of Otolaryngology at Huntsville Hospital and a member of their Surgical and Clinical Review Committee. She was a Trustee of the board of directors at Crestwood Hospital and a member of Crestwood’s Physician Leadership Group. She is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck surgery.

Dr. Neeta Kohli-Dang was awarded the Silverman Prize by Dr. Cantrell from the University of Virginia for her research and presentation on childhood nasal obstruction. She received the American medical Association and Medical Association of State of Alabama Physician’s recognition award in 1999 and again in 2004. She also received nomination as international health professional of the year from Cambridge England. Congressman Bud Cramer recognized her as a Local legend of Alabama in 2004.

In 2015, Dr. Neeta Kohli-Dang was awarded Physician Supporter of the Year Award by the North Alabama Nurse Practitioner Association (NANPA) in recognition of her outstanding support for Nurse Practitioners in the Tennessee Valley area. Dr. Neeta Kohli-Dang has lectured at the North Alabama Nurse Practitioner Symposium to an audience of 300 Nurse Practitioners on Ear, Nose, and Throat conditions for two consecutive years.

Hollywood/Japanese Actor Shin Koyamada’s Latest Fundraiser EffortsTo Benefit Japanese Quake and Alabama Tornado Victims

This red carpet fashion show and live auction event was hosted by the Shin Koyamada Foundation and Precostore to benefit the Japanese Earthquake and Tsunami victims, as well as Alabama Tornado victims. Mr. Shin Koyamada was present as the guest of honour. Dr. Neeta Kohli-Dang, MD served as emcee, and encouraged attendees “to join together as one in bringing peace and hope to those devastated by the recent natural disasters.”
